THIS STORY WE ARE GOING TO TELL YOU IS TRUE!
THIS IS THE STORY OF JACK THE RED BONE COON HOUND..........
Jack was found just clinging on to life. No one around loving him, all alone to fend for himself. Rumor has it that jack was being trained as a hunting dog when his master took him out on his first hunt, but jack never heard the sound of a gun before, and when his master took a shot at an animal Jack got scared, and he ran, but a lot of hunters in jacks home area dont veiw there animals as friends they see them as property which is useless if they cant get the job done, and they will let them run off as jack did or some will go as far as to shot their dog dead in their tracks when they run. Jack ran and ran and ran. it was cold and there wasnt much around for food and water. he kept going untill his body couldnt go any longer, and thats when he was found and brought into the york county spca. he was put on ivs to slowly start trying to give him a chance at living, but as bad a shape he was in there was no promises. Jack fought jack was strong hearted and he pulled through. once he was strong enough it was arranged for jack to go stay with a foster mommy. thats when i met jack. his foster mommy was my boyfriends mother, an employee at the shelter. he was in really bad shape. you could see every bone in his body, and showed signs of having been abused. he was scared of everything from his new collar to dog toys and treats. he was afraid of people, and never made a sound not even a wimper. Jack the red boned coon hound was in a very poor state. we all worked with him for weeks, then weeks turned into months. and jack started comming around. he now enjoys laying on your lap, snuggling up to his new friends, eating frostey paws (dog icecream), interacting with other dogs, and finnally living the life he deserves. he has put on a good deal of weight since he came into fostering. Jack still has a long way to go to a full recovery. hes still very skitish, especially around people he doesnt know. and new things and noises scare him very much.WANT UPDATES ON JACK? UPDATE ALERT! - I AM SAD TO TELL YOU THAT JACK HAS STOPED IMPROVING SINCE HIS LAST BARK. WHAT WE FEARED FROM THE BEGINING HAS HAPPENED. HIS PAST HAS AND WILL CONTINUE TO KEEP HIM FROM RECOVERING ANY MORE. HE WILL BE STAYING WITH US FOR THE REST OF HIS LIFE SEEING AS HOW WE HAVE THE SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE TO HANDLE HIS CONDITION. LITTLE THINGS THAT WOULD MAKE MOST DOGS COURIOUS WILL ALWAYS SCARE HIM SUCH AS STORMS, FANS, AND OTHER NOISES. JACK IS THE PRIME REASON OF WHY ANIMAL ABUSE NEEDS TO STOP AND IT NEEDS TO STOP NOW!!!!!!!!!! I BEG YOU IF YOU KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT SOME ONE WHO IS ABUSING AN ANIMAL REPORT IT RIGHT AWAY! STAND UP AND SPEAK FOR THE POOR VICTIM WHOM HAS NO VOICE TO SPEAK OUT WITH, AND MAKE A DIFFERENCE!!!!!!!!! DONT LET WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO JACK HAPPEN TO ANY OTHER ANIMAL, NO MATTER HOW BIG OR SMALL!!! AND REMEMBER ABUSE ISNT JUST PHYSICAL, NEGELECT IS THE SAME THING TOO!!!!!

If it hadnt been for the shelter and foster moms jack wouldve died. there are so many more like jack out there. some in even worse condition. as you can imaginits very costly to keep these animals and there arent many poeple to help. but there are ways you can help.......
